Job Description

IDR, Inc. is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to support government-driven projects on the Salesforce platform. This onsite role is based in Saint Johns, MI (opportunity supporting work connected to Lansing, MI) and centers on building and improving Salesforce custom solutions through development, integrations, and automation aligned to state agency requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions following Salesforce development best practices.
  • Build and maintain Apex, including triggers, batch jobs, queueable jobs, and scheduled processes.
  • Create and enhance Lightning Web Components (LWC) to support modern, user-focused experiences.
  • Implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Named Credentials, and related Salesforce integration capabilities.
  • Develop automated business processes using Salesforce Flows, Validation Rules, and Formula Fields.

What you bring

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Platform Development experience (in the US), with at least 3 years minimum.
  • Prior experience supporting a State/Government project.
  • Strong expertise with Apex (Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, Scheduled Apex) and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Strong command of SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce DX (SFDX), and REST and SOAP API integrations.
  • Experience with Platform Events, Named Credentials, and the Salesforce Security Model (Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules, OWD).
  • Solid background in Salesforce Flows and process automation, including Validation Rules and Formula Fields.
  • Experience using Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of Salesforce governor limits and platform architecture, plus the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
