Senior Oracle EPM Cloud Developer

Senior Oracle EPM Cloud Developer for Motus Recruiting and Staffing in Portland, OR (hybrid) on a one-year renewable contract.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organization, and management of the Oracle EPM Cloud environment to maintain health, stability, and reliability.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance automation scripts in PowerShell and Windows Batch to ensure reliable nightly data processing and maintenance cycles.
• Develop new automation using EPM Automate and REST API to streamline administrative tasks and bolster system stability.
• Perform root cause analysis for production issues by reviewing server logs and EPM Automate exit codes to promptly resolve failures.
• Collaborate with technical peers, the third party implementation partner, and business users to translate requirements into functional capabilities.
• Oversee migration of EPM artifacts (Calculation Scripts, Web Forms, Business Rules, Security) between environments using Life Cycle Management (LCM).
• Define data staging requirements and work with data warehouse and source system teams to ensure proper data structuring, transformation, and validation before loading into the EPM application.
• Support core application duties, including metadata management, user security provisioning, application maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Document and maintain filing systems and records in alignment with compliance requirements.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and a valid U.S. Driver’s License are required.
• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
• 8+ years of information technology experience required with an applicable bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years of information technology experience required without a degree or with an applicable degree.
• Direct hands-on system administration experience in information technology.
• 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience administering and developing an Oracle EPM/Hyperion platform.
• Proficiency with EPM Automate for executing administrative tasks and moving data/artifacts.
• Advanced scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, and/or Windows Batch with robust error handling and logging.
• Experience administering an Oracle EPM Cloud application (PBCS/EPBCS, FCCS) or a similar on-premises Hyperion Planning environment.
• Experience troubleshooting EPM data load processes using Data Management or Data Integration.
• Knowledge of EPM architecture components, including business rules, calculation scripts, and security models.
• Experience with Life Cycle Management (LCM) for migrating application artifacts.
• Experience defining data transformation and validation rules for integrating data from relational sources into a multidimensional EPM/Essbase application.
