Senior Machine Learning Engineer, GAI Search Relevance

This role centers on advancing search relevance and ranking within an enterprise question answering platform, collaborating closely with product, UX, and engineering teams at ServiceNow.

Location and Compensation

Location: Mountain View, California, onsite.

Salary: USD 161,300 - 274,200 per year.

Responsibilities

• Craft new ranking features and optimize existing ones to improve relevance metrics
• Develop algorithm framework to support diversified ranking features
• Design platform and tooling to enable parallel ranking experiments
• Develop metrics to evaluate ranking performance

Requirements

• Direct experience with traditional information retrieval techniques or machine learning based ranking models
• Ability to derive insights from query log analysis and identify opportunities to enhance search quality
• Background in text processing, information retrieval, natural language understanding, or machine learning
