Machine Learning Engineer, Search Quality
Job Description
Join Glean’s team to build machine learning capabilities that improve search and assistant experiences for work.
Responsibilities
- Develop new signals that improve personalization for Glean’s search engine
- Train models that capture interactions between signals in the ranking system
- Design approaches to domain-adapt language models to each customer’s corpus
- Explore ways to combine LLMs with search engines to answer complex questions
- Build robust, production-oriented code that is readable, maintainable, and testable
- Mentor more junior engineers, or learn from engineers with proven experience
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience
- BA/BS in computer science, math, sciences, or a related degree
- Experience working with search, recommendation, natural language processing, or other large machine-learning systems
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
- Proven ability to design, build, and ship production-ready models
- Proficiency in your machine learning framework of choice
- Strong coding skills (Python, Go, Java, C++, ...)
- Ability to thrive in a customer-focused, tight-knit, cross-functional environment; team player mindset with willingness to take on high-impact work
- Proactive and positive attitude to lead, learn, troubleshoot, and take ownership of tasks and features

Compensation
- USD 140,000 - 265,000 per year
