Senior Java/Curam Developer

A contract opportunity in Raleigh, NC onsite with Astyra Corporation offers competitive benefits, including 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance. The Senior Java/Curam Developer will support the NC FAST FNS initiative in Raleigh, focusing on Java, ReactJS, and Curam to implement backlog enhancements, fix defects, and coordinate releases.

Responsibilities

• Provide business and systems analysis, modeling design, and programming for NC FAST application development and maintenance using Java, ReactJS, and Curam.
• Collaborate with the NC FAST Food Nutrition Services team to design, develop, and maintain code for backlog-driven enhancements and defect fixes.
• Support FNS payment error rate reduction efforts, including evidence automations, case approvals, proactive QC alerts, and associated workflows.
• Work with other members of the FNS application development team and program areas to develop code based on existing and new requirements, coordinating with FNS stakeholders and the agile testing team.
• Partner with the release team on source control, build, and release activities for the FNS codebase.
• Leverage strong Java and Curam expertise to design and develop rules for the FNS and SNAP products, including supporting batches for payment error rate reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience developing web applications using J2EE, XML and related tools.
• Curam V6/7/8 Certified Developer, with V8 preferred.
• Social enterprise management experience.
• Experience as a Curam Developer covering the full lifecycle from requirements through functional design and testing.
• Experience with both the Curam Enterprise Framework and Curam Solution Modules.
• Strong problem identification skills and ability to integrate technical solutions to address issues.
• Experience translating highly technical concepts to both technical personnel and non-IT business users.
• Experience creating technical documents using MS Office products, including Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to build relationships with customers, respond to needs with urgency, and independently identify options.
• Strong organizational skills to manage and follow complex technical procedures.
• Experience with Curam Enterprise Framework Components, Curam Intelligent Evidence Gathering (IEG2), and Curam Express Rules for Triage (CERT).
• Technical knowledge in Eclipse, HTML, CSS, and Web Services standards (SOAP and WSDL).
• Oracle database experience (highly desired).
• Experience with state government IT functions (highly desired).
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, and JIRA (desired).
• Experience with Curam Web Services (desired).
• Experience in AWS or other cloud development (desired).
• Python programming experience (desired).
• JavaScript and IBM WebSphere experience (nice to have).
