Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: design, develop, test, document, and maintain front-end applications using Angular and other modern frameworks, along with Java and Python back-end services.
• Application Leadership: lead the creation and implementation of custom web applications aligned to evolving client requirements.
• Architecture & Database Design: analyze and design databases, help architect scalable cloud environments, and work independently or with teammates.
• AI & Feature Integration: evaluate and support integrating AI models and advanced capabilities into current tools and platforms.
• Systems Integration: address challenges related to systems integration, platform compatibility, and multi-environment deployment.
• Agile Adaptation: adjust quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced development setting, supporting additional application areas as needed.
• Maintenance & Optimization: troubleshoot issues, implement user-driven improvements, and contribute to user manuals and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience; an additional 4 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• Core Software Engineering: proven experience across the full software lifecycle with proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, Java, and Python (or other modern languages).
• API Development: robust experience developing, integrating, and working with web APIs.
• Cloud & Emerging Tech: familiarity with cloud technologies and services, plus AI models for potential tool integration.
• DevOps Tools: practical experience using Atlassian JIRA, Jenkins CI, and Git (and GitLab CI/CD).
• Domain Awareness: familiarity with cybersecurity concepts.
• Citizenship & Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required and an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is necessary.
• Background Investigation: ability to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation.

Location and compensation

Location: Arlington, VA, with a hybrid telework/onsite arrangement. Occasional on-site presence required.

Compensation details: target salary range $112,000 to $179,000 per year. Salary is determined by factors including scope, experience, education, skills, and location. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may be available depending on the position.
