Responsibilities

• Serve as an expert full‑stack Java Spring Boot developer supporting React‑based UI applications
• Participate in the full agile application development life cycle for microservice API development with Java Spring Boot to support a React front end
• Apply knowledge of RDMS such as Postgres and NoSQL stores like Redis
• Leverage automated unit testing with JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber
• Collaborate on Agile Scrum teams, delivering user stories and writing usable code with minimal oversight
• Support acceptance testing, load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning as needed
• Foster cross‑functional teamwork and contribute to functional testing and incremental feature development
• Promote development standards and participate in regular code reviews
• Communicate clearly with team members, management, and customers both verbally and in writing
• Interface with customers and external teams to explain application functionality and behavior
• Present committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders, and demonstrate functionality when complete or requested

Requirements

• Experience developing code in microservice‑based architectures
• Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and React
• 8+ years experience in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience working with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
• 3+ years of Agile experience utilizing DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
• 5+ years of experience developing React web applications
• Master’s degree in related discipline plus four years of experience; or bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus eight years of related experience; or twelve to fifteen years in software development without a degree
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Final Secret DoD clearance
• Preferred qualifications: experience with Docker, experience with Kubernetes, and familiarity with the DoD STIG process
