Senior Developer Experience Engineer

Jack Henry is seeking a Senior Developer Experience Engineer who will treat developer documentation as a product and own the documentation platform from end to end. In this remote role, you will partner with the Developer Relations team to elevate the developer experience, operating within 70 miles of our listed office locations.

Responsibilities

• Build and advance the Jack Henry Developer Relations Portal in line with engineering standards and best practices.
• Own the design, planning, and rollout of new features, breaking work into clear, manageable tasks for the team.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and quality are embedded in all development efforts.
• Represent the team in technical discussions and decision-making, including discovery sessions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across release pipelines and production environments.
• Oversee the developer documentation platform end-to-end, including architecture, UX, and roadmap, benchmarking against industry standards.
• Design and deliver interactive, accessible documentation experiences such as code samples, API explorers, tutorials, and videos.
• Create and maintain templates, tools, and contribution guides to enable scalable documentation creation across teams.
• Produce impactful developer content, including guides, tutorials, and video walkthroughs.
• Manage and continuously improve documentation infrastructure, including site generation, CI/CD, previews, search, and analytics.
• Utilize modern AI-assisted coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate development and documentation workflows.
• Establish and uphold documentation processes, including style guidelines, contribution workflows, review standards, and audit practices.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in documentation, developer experience, or developer education roles for a developer audience.
• Proven ability to organize and structure complex technical content (information architecture and content modeling).
• Experience improving developer documentation for usability, clarity, and navigation.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) in day-to-day workflows.
• Experience creating both written documentation and video or screencast content for technical audiences.
