Senior Developer Experience Engineer
Job Description
Join Jack Henry as a Senior Developer Experience Engineer in Monett, MO with remote options. You will own the developer documentation as a product, benchmark our developer experience against industry standards, and ship interactive docs and content infrastructure while collaborating with engineers, SDK teams, and product partners.
This role centers on shaping how developers interact with our platform, owning the documentation platform end to end including architecture and UX, and driving a roadmap that aligns with industry benchmarks. You will work across engineering, product, and partner teams to create scalable, high quality content and experiences, while leveraging modern tooling to accelerate development and documentation workloads.
Responsibilities
- Build and continuously improve the Jack Henry Developer Relations Portal in line with engineering standards and best practices.
- Lead the end to end design, planning, and delivery of new features, breaking work into clear, actionable tasks for the team.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and quality are embedded in all development efforts.
- Represent the team in technical discussions and decision making, including discovery sessions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across release pipelines and production environments.
- Own the developer documentation platform end to end, covering architecture, UX, and roadmap, benchmarking against industry standards.
- Design and deliver interactive, accessible documentation experiences such as code samples, API explorers, tutorials, and videos.
- Create and maintain templates, tools, and contribution guides to enable scalable documentation across teams.
- Produce high impact developer content, including guides, tutorials, and video walkthroughs.
- Manage and continuously improve documentation infrastructure, including site generation, CI/CD, previews, search, and analytics.
- Leverage modern agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate development and documentation workflows.
- Establish and maintain documentation processes, including style guidelines, contribution workflows, review standards, and audit practices.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in documentation, developer experience, or developer education roles for a developer audience.
- Proven ability to organize and structure complex technical content using information architecture and content modeling.
- Experience improving developer documentation for usability, clarity, and navigation.
- Hands on experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot in day to day workflows.
- Experience creating both written documentation and video or screencast content for technical audiences.
