Role snapshot

Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining data ingestion, transformation, and maintenance pipelines to support enterprise data needs across cloud and on‑prem environments, with a focus on automation and self‑service improvements.

Responsibilities

Design and deploy Snowflake based data solutions aligned with business needs and industry standards.
Perform data analysis, develop data models, reverse engineer data structures, and optimize performance.
Collaborate with fellow data engineers to shape ELT/ETL pipelines using Matillion and Snowflake native features.
Build and deploy data pipelines to create or enhance data warehouses and data marts.
Create the infrastructure required for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources using AWS and database technologies.
Stay informed about emerging AI technologies and best practices, focusing on Snowflake AI capabilities to improve AI‑enabled data solutions.
Document technical specifications, data models, process flows, standards, processes, and procedures.
Identify and implement internal process improvements, including redesigning infrastructure for scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
Provide guidance and mentorship to data engineering teammates on advanced concepts and best practices.
Define comprehensive data processing strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
Offer on‑call production support on a rotating basis, monitoring and resolving issues across data engineering services.
Establish design, testing, documentation, and implementation standards in accordance with HIPPA and other patient data management policies, ensuring systems comply with them.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience implementing data engineering initiatives.
Minimum 3 years of cloud experience, with AWS preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with cross‑functional teams to derive requirements, architect data models, and design shared datasets.
