Senior Atlassian Developer
Job Description
CAI is seeking a full-time Senior Atlassian Developer for a remote position. In this role, you will design, configure, and improve CAI’s Atlassian environment, supporting operational excellence and enabling future growth through Jira and Jira Service Management implementations and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Configure and build Jira spaces, workflows, schemes, and automation flows in alignment with CAI design standards and enterprise architecture guidelines
- Design and implement Jira Service Management (JSM) spaces, customer portals, queues, and SLA configurations to meet service delivery requirements
- Participate in requirements gathering with business stakeholders and technical teams, translating operational needs into Atlassian configuration work
- Build and maintain custom fields, screens, and advanced configurations to extend platform functionality
- Apply consistent naming conventions, permission schemes, and governance standards across CAI Atlassian products
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers on Atlassian best practices, configuration patterns, and troubleshooting
- Contribute to agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
- Perform code reviews and configuration reviews to maintain quality and ensure adherence to standards
- Document technical specifications, configuration decisions, and operational procedures in Confluence
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and IT Operations teams to ensure solutions support broader technology strategy
- Support user acceptance testing and refine configurations based on stakeholder feedback
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure business priorities are delivered in line with strategic direction and project expectations
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with Atlassian products in configuration, development, or administration
- Strong Jira configuration experience, including spaces, workflows, schemes, screens, custom fields, and automation flows
- Experience designing and implementing JSM spaces, customer portals, queues, and SLA configurations
- Proficiency with Confluence administration, space configuration, and documentation best practices
- Ability to participate in requirements discussions and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills and capability to work across technical and business teams
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud, including Behaviours, listeners, and scripts
- Experience with Jira Product Discovery for product management and roadmapping
- Experience with Zephyr for test management
- Experience configuring third-party Marketplace apps, including Rich Filters, Structure PPM by Tempo, Checklists for Jira, Templating.app, and similar platform extensions
- Experience with capacity and resource planning functionality and Marketplace apps supporting it
- Minimum of 2 relevant Atlassian certifications such as ACP-620, ACP-610, ACP-120, or similar
- Experience in a staffing, professional services, or SLED-focused organization
- Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Compensation and Location
Location: Remote (remote). Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 per year. Experience level: 4+ years.
