Job Description
CGI Group, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Salesforce Developer to join CGI Federal and contribute to developing, testing, deploying, and documenting Salesforce applications for client environments. This position offers a flexible work arrangement with remote options and preferred hybrid sites in Fairfax, VA; Knoxville, TN; Lafayette, LA; and Belton, TX. A US citizenship or green card holder is required. The role carries a salary range of USD 70,800 to 156,700 per year and typically requires at least three years of relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Leverage modern tools and methods to deliver Salesforce development, including creating, modifying, or updating applications used by business or infrastructure units.
- Assess unit needs and automated business processes supported by the Salesforce application and participate in SDLC reviews to design or modify software, providing Admin support for Salesforce applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field; or 7 years of related experience.
- 4-7+ years of professional Salesforce Development experience.
- 3-6 years of hands-on Salesforce Developer experience.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into best practices.
- Knowledge of scalable Salesforce solutions with a strong focus on user experience.
- Experience creating technical documentation and following an agile development process to design new functionality from requirements.
- Track record of developing Salesforce solution roadmaps, defining priorities, and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Some data management experience to improve Salesforce data quality, including rules and automation.
- Proficiency with APEX, Visualforce, Lightning Platform (Aura-based Lightning components built with HTML and JavaScript), Bolt, and MuleSoft programming.
- Experience integrating systems using APIs within the Salesforce/MuleSoft Anypoint platform.
- .36 years; independently designs and builds medium-complexity solutions.
- Strong skills in Apex, asynchronous processing, and Lightning Web Components.
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, Platform Events, and middleware.
- Understanding of governor limits and strategies to avoid violations.
- Participation in estimation, solution design, and code reviews.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II).
- Salesforce certifications including Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Developer, Salesforce Platform App Builder, Cloud Consultant, etc., are required.
