Report Writer/Applications Developer
Job Description
Boston Medical Center is seeking a remote Report Writer/Applications Developer to design, build, and sustain Epic EHR reports, extracts, and dashboards using Slicer Dicer and Reporting Workbench, collaborating with end users to define specifications and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reports, data extracts, and dashboards within the Epic EHR system.
- Regularly create reports, Radar content, and dashboards using Slicer Dicer and Reporting Workbench.
- Handle multiple requests, incidents, and projects concurrently, maintaining open communication with end users to define requirements and set development, validation, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with application and clinical teams to understand workflows and locate relevant data in Chronicles to ensure accurate outputs.
- Participate in weekly team and all staff meetings to stay aligned with ongoing projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Epic Reporting certifications are a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in report development, with a focus on healthcare reporting in Epic EHR systems; experience with Epic Reporting Workbench, Radar, and Slicer Dicer is preferred.
- Equivalent work experience may substitute for education.
- Experience configuring reporting for multiple service areas within the Community Connect network is preferred.
- Technical skills include experience with reporting tools and knowledge of programming languages; familiarity with data structures and ETL concepts is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Compensation & Location
- Location: Remote
- Salary: USD 71,500 - 104,000 per year
- Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience required: Minimum 2 years in healthcare reporting with Epic EHR systems
