Job Description

Share Web Design is hiring a part-time developer to build a standalone onboarding quiz experience using React on Vite, with authentication via Firebase Auth and subscription payment handling through Stripe. The finished quiz will collect user answers, trigger backend API calls on completion, and be deployed as static files within a subdirectory on a WordPress-hosted domain, without WordPress integration.

Project Overview

You will develop a multi-step onboarding quiz React application (Vite) that authenticates users, collects responses, and manages subscription payments using Stripe before submitting data to an existing Node.js API. The application will be deployed as static files to a subdirectory on a WordPress-hosted domain, without integrating into WordPress itself.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a multi-step quiz in React using Vite and React Router.
  • Integrate Firebase Auth supporting email/password and Google SSO.
  • Build the payment screen using Stripe Elements.
  • On quiz completion, submit quiz answers to the existing Node.js API via POST.
  • Implement responsive CSS to match the provided brand design screenshots.
  • Add a backend endpoint to receive and store quiz or onboarding answers.
  • Add a backend endpoint to create Stripe payment intents.
  • Add a backend endpoint to push newly created user data to HubSpot's API.
  • Integrate the new endpoints into the existing Node.js server codebase.

Requirements

  • React with hooks and functional components, including React Router.
  • Node.js / Express work to add endpoints to an existing server.
  • Postgres or MySQL experience, including writing queries or working with an existing ORM.
  • Firebase Auth (email/password and Google SSO).
  • Stripe Elements using @stripe/react-stripe-js and the server-side Stripe SDK.
  • Responsive CSS aligned with the brand design from screenshots.
  • Experience building multi-step form flows.
