Project Lead Data Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Oversee Teradata environments, covering servers, databases, partitions, tables, indexes, and storage structures to maintain reliability and uptime.
• Tune SQL queries and optimize performance to boost efficiency and overall database performance.
• Operate Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, load utilities, and workload and query execution tools to support data workflows.
• Monitor system health, identify maintenance needs, and proactively implement upgrades, patches, and performance enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to communicate status, resolve issues, and provide updates on Teradata environment health.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for this role.
• At least 8 years of experience as a Teradata DBA with strong database administration and system management expertise.
• At least 2 years of experience with Teradata utilities (BTEQ, load management, and query execution management) and with user/database administration.
• At least 2 years of SQL experience with demonstrated performance tuning and query optimization skills.
• Ability to travel an average of 5 to 20 percent, depending on client and project assignments.
