As a Product Developer, you will manage the end-to-end development of high-performance hair tools for Integra brands, translating customer trends into robust products, and guiding the lifecycle from design to launch while coordinating contract manufacturing on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Blend customer trend insights with cutting-edge technologies to create meaningful, high-performing products that help customers feel their most authentic and beautiful selves.
- Lead all stages of product and packaging development, from design and testing to launch readiness, partnering with Marketing and Operations and tracking milestones throughout the timeline.
- Test and evaluate development samples and prototypes for design, quality, and performance to ensure outcomes exceed expectations.
- Populate product databases with documents from the company and vendors, including product briefs, bills of materials, artwork, quotes, and ingredient lists.
- Identify and manage contract manufacturing partners to meet performance, cost, and timeline targets.
- Implement and manage product changes as needed, covering features, materials, ingredients, vendors, or specifications.
- Collaborate with Education and Customer Experience teams to extend product knowledge to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and improve Integra’s product compliance database to ensure ongoing regulatory alignment.
- Register products with regulatory agencies in existing and new markets.
- Work with outside counsel to stay current on regulations, standards, and guidelines for beauty tools and products in the US and international markets.
- Oversee compliance-related document audits and testing, including formulation data, safety data sheets, test reports, ingredient analyses, labels, warnings, and claims.
- Provide compliance training and communication to the organization as needed.
- Support operations with product quality issues and assist the creative department with packaging design and artwork.
- Be willing to test products you help develop and travel as required to support project needs.
- Perform other duties, including support of other product categories as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in materials, operations, engineering, economics, art, design, creative fields, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in beauty products.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and thriving within a collaborative team environment.
- Exceptional communication and time management skills.
- Previous brand and/or supply chain experience.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute to team success.
- Proven track record of driving business results.
- Demonstrated ability to educate and provide how-to knowledge to end users of created products.
- Self-starter with a customer-focused mindset and a drive to deliver outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in materials, operations, engineering, economics, art, design, creative fields, or related areas.
- Cosmetology experience and hands-on color cosmetics development background.
- Cross-functional leadership and project management experience, with team leadership capabilities.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, ambiguous environment with high initiative and self-prioritization.
