Apparel Product Developer

Temporary contract role for an Apparel Product Developer to support an apparel brand’s Irvine, CA team onsite Monday through Thursday for 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full sample development workflow, from design review through production handoff.
• Provide ongoing feedback on fit, design, and construction to manufacturing partners across the development cycle.
• Maintain comprehensive product development documentation, including tracking tools and seasonal information.
• Coordinate timely approvals for samples, fabric, trims, and materials while monitoring progress and key milestones.
• Work with cross-functional teams to address development issues, resolve delays, and support product launches.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in apparel product development or a related field.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal and external partners.
• Experience partnering with domestic or international manufacturing teams is preferred.
