Product Developer

HD Switch offers a hands-on, high-impact environment in Boca Raton, FL, with on-site collaboration across engineering, suppliers, and product teams. This role carries a salary of USD 75,000 - 90,000 per year and a benefits package that includes 401(k) and matching, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan. You will have meaningful autonomy to identify opportunities, shape concepts, and drive development from concept to production, working closely with suppliers and engineering to deliver durable aftermarket parts.

Responsibilities

• Spot market gaps in lawn and garden, power equipment, and related categories
• Create new product concepts driven by customer pain points, failure modes, and competitive weaknesses
• Collaborate with existing suppliers to refine designs, improve durability, and reduce cost
• Partner with internal engineering to validate and enhance product performance
• Analyze sales data, returns, and customer feedback to guide product decisions
• Expand current product lines and explore new categories
• Oversee product development timelines from concept through production
• Evaluate samples, prototypes, and production runs for quality and functionality

Requirements

• Strong mechanical intuition and the ability to anticipate failures and improvements
• Experience in product development, sourcing, engineering, or a related field
• E-commerce mindset; Amazon or eBay experience is a plus
• Ability to identify opportunities that others may miss
• Comfort working with overseas suppliers and iterating on designs
• Data-driven approach that balances analytics with real-world use
• Self-starter with ownership and the drive to push ideas forward
• Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Excel is essential and CAD is highly advantageous
