peopleSoft Application Developer

Experis is hiring a PeopleSoft Application Developer for a 2-year contract with the possibility of extension. The role is onsite in Albany, NY and supports ongoing development, defect troubleshooting, and architecture improvements across a PeopleSoft and Oracle/Linux/APEX environment.

This engagement includes a structured onsite schedule: 4 days per pay period at the Albany location, plus a mandatory in-person all-team meeting held once a month. Work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional extended hours as needed by mutual agreement (including potential weekends or time beyond normal hours).

What you’ll do

• Develop solutions for business problems outlined in requirements and specifications.
• Analyze system defects, propose solutions and workarounds, and help drive fixes to completion.
• Communicate effectively with business analysts and a range of technical staff to align on implementation needs.
• Recommend and implement system architecture improvements.
• Design system changes in consultation with other groups, including areas such as secure file transport, server administration, database administration, scheduling, and security.
• Validate system functionality following infrastructure upgrades and resolve issues observed after upgrades.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Core qualifications

• 6+ years of application development experience with PeopleSoft, using at least three of: XML, PeopleSoft SQR, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PSQuery, Data Mover, Application Engine, Component Interface.
• 6+ years using SQL over PeopleSoft Data Structures.
• 4+ years with PeopleTools 8.57 and higher.
• 4+ years conceptualizing and transforming business requirements into design documents, with associated test plans and documentation.
• 3+ years developing collaborative solutions and troubleshooting between functional and technical teams.
• 3+ years providing knowledge transfer on new technologies and/or the developed application to other developers.
• 2+ years developing solutions in APEX Version 20.1 or higher.

Technology stack you’ll work with

• Oracle Database 19c+ (tables, views, indexes, packages, procedures, and functions)
• Oracle Application Express (APEX) 24 and 26 (creation and maintenance of pages, automations, and help with application deployments depending on experience)
• Linux servers for simple scripts to support file management and transfer
• Integration touchpoints including PeopleSoft Financials, Mainframe, and PowerBuilder
• PeopleSoft-focused tools: PeopleSoft, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PeopleSoft SQR, PSQuery, Data Mover, Application Engine, Component Interface, and XML

Engagement details

• Location: State Street, Albany, New York (onsite)
• Duration: 2 years with possible extension
• Work arrangement: On-site 4 days per pay period, plus a monthly mandatory in-person all-team meeting
• Rate: Corp to Corp $95.00/hour; Hourly w/2 $85.00/hour
