Oracle/Informatica Developer

The role centers on supporting the IRS data warehouse through Oracle and Informatica expertise, enabling robust ETL workflows and reliable data movement from diverse sources.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating and developing strategies for Oracle and PL/SQL, including data views, triggers, and function enhancements to optimize performance.
• Maintain Exchange Transfer Load (ETL) workflows that pull data from source systems such as SAP PPS, SharePoint and related Power Platform components, SharePoint Oracle Data Connector, Informatica, internal data systems, and external sources like FPDS, SAM.gov, and USA Spending.
• Produce regular and ad hoc data queries and Oracle views to extract data from the data warehouse to support reporting and analytics.
• Maintain metadata and data dictionaries to ensure clear data definitions.
• Develop Informatica flows as needed to perform data manipulation and populate Oracle tables.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer on table design, views, and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of IT experience delivering complex projects and technical solutions.
• Experience in ETL environments using Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle databases, and shell scripting.

Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate access Oracle views and tables through the Oracle connector. Oracle Data Connector and ODBC are the primary access methods to the warehouse tables and views, with Power BI and Excel used for reporting.
