Job Description
Experienced Oracle Developer based in Hampton, VA (onsite) with a proven track record designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle based solutions across U.S. client environments, focusing on enterprise database and application development, with a salary range of USD 110,195 - 132,709 per year.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy Oracle driven solutions to support client business systems
- Create and maintain database objects such as tables, views, procedures, and functions
- Work with stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Identify and fix Oracle database and application performance issues
- Enhance performance through query optimization and indexing strategies to improve system efficiency
- Perform code reviews and uphold coding standards to ensure quality deliverables
- Maintain data integrity, security, and backup/recovery procedures within Oracle environments
- Offer technical mentorship and support to internal team members and junior developers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Oracle Developer or in a similar database role
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, design, and data modeling
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming
- Experience developing and managing database objects such as procedures, triggers, and packages
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database and performance issues independently
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills in a technical environment
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in team-based project settings
