Natural ADABAS Developer

Dynanet Corporation is hiring a Natural ADABAS Developer to design and build Natural/ADABAS software and integrations while providing subject-matter expertise support to other developers. This full-time role is based in Washington, DC (Hybrid) with onsite presence as requested.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand user requirements.
• Provide SME support to other Natural/ADABAS developers, including knowledge of existing systems, the business context, and customer needs.
• Design solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Develop software using Natural with ADABAS.
• Develop and maintain software processes to transfer files using Connect Direct software.
• Develop and maintain queues and flows using IBM MQ.
• Develop and maintain application software connections using Software AG’s Entire X Communicator (Broker).
• Use Atlassian tools, including JIRA, for requirements tracking.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize, balance, and advance multiple competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with Dynanet teammates, clients, and business partners.
• Ability and desire to challenge and educate yourself to support and advance IT services delivery in Federal agencies.
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond to team member and client requests via email, MS Teams, or other communication means during core business hours.
• Active listening skills to understand client needs, and collaboration skills to work with other developers and designers.
• Top Secret (T5 or T5R).

Education and Experience

• 15+ years of experience on large-scale applications in a mainframe environment.
• 5+ years of experience working with customers to define requirements.
• Expert proficiency programming in Natural using ADABAS.
• Expert proficiency working with customers to define requirements.
• Strong ability to design solutions across multiple systems or sub-systems.
