Mobile Development Software Engineer
Job Description
Embedded/mobile software engineer in Atlanta, GA (onsite) responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying mobile apps (iOS/Android), integrating with backend services, and collaborating across teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of systems, sites, and tools for clients
- Write, test, and refine code to support the team’s overall outcomes
- Design and reverse engineer software that enables hardware functionality across a wide range of devices
- Configure solutions tailored to the target platform
- Collaborate with team leadership to diagnose and fix operational issues
- Work with cybersecurity specialists to ensure software security
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, testing, and deploying mobile applications for iOS or Android
- Experience leading architecture decisions for new mobile apps and modernization of existing apps, including native app architecture, dependency management, mobile testing, API integration patterns, offline data synchronization, authentication and security, CI/CD pipelines for mobile, or app observability and analytics
- Experience with mobile release pipelines using Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs, cloud services, and third-party platforms
- Experience building scalable, user-focused applications with attention to performance, usability, and maintainability
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver production-ready software solutions
- Ability to build and maintain native iOS applications using Swift or Objective-C or Android applications using Kotlin or Java
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
