Mainframe Developer

GSK Solutions Inc is looking for a Mainframe Developer to develop and maintain legacy mainframe applications while supporting modernization initiatives. This contract role offers hybrid or onsite work in Jersey City, NJ, or Merrimack, NH, and emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Build, update, and enhance legacy mainframe applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill business requirements
• Contribute to modernization efforts, including integration with distributed systems and cloud platforms
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and monitor progress using project management tools

Requirements

• Hands-on proficiency with COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL
• Solid experience with DB2
• Working knowledge of Oracle and complex SQL queries
• Basic understanding of AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with distributed systems architecture
• Experience with Jira for Agile project tracking
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Knowledge of web-based distributed application architecture

Pay

Pay: USD 55 - 58 per hour
