Job Description

Build machine learning and signal processing systems for brain-computer interfaces on Neuralink’s BCI team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve models that decode neural data for reliable BCI performance, including typing at 35 words per minute for individuals with paralysis and control of robotic arms for activities of daily living
  • Define research directions for neural network and signal processing work aimed at restoring vision for people affected by blindness
  • Apply core knowledge of neural networks and data science to create model foundations for machine learning applications in BCI
  • Set high execution standards by leading the team through how systems are built and operated
  • Translate user understanding into technical input by identifying product features that can have the greatest impact on quality of life and informing the hardware roadmap

Requirements

  • Experience building production-level software in C/C++/Rust and Python
  • Proven track record designing, building, and shipping real-time ML products
  • Strong foundation in signal processing, algorithms, and software engineering principles
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

  • USD 199,000 - 331,000 per yearly
