Machine Learning Engineer

Design and build next-generation generative AI models that support Apple Intelligence and power experiences like Genmoji, Image Playground, and Image Wand.

Responsibilities

• Develop modern generative model technology using diffusion and auto-regressive approaches
• Apply the latest AI research quickly and effectively to deliver impactful improvements
• Pioneer proprietary, experimental ideas tailored to Apple’s ecosystem
• Advance state-of-the-art modeling through work spanning large-scale training and on-device optimizations

Requirements

• M.S. or PhD in Computer Science (or related field such as Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics) or equivalent experience
• 2+ years experience training and fine-tuning modern image/video generation models
• Experience in an academic or industrial research environment
• Proficiency with an ML framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to drive clarity in ambiguous situations

Salary: USD 216,200 - 324,800 per year
