Job Description

This onsite role in Seattle, WA focuses on developing machine learning models for computer vision and graphics used in visionOS and iOS, collaborating with ML, data, and software engineering teams at Apple.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete ML lifecycle, from data collection design and preprocessing to model development, experimentation, and field validation with QA in real-world settings.
  • Adapt or implement cutting edge techniques to deliver features for visionOS and iOS.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow ML engineers as well as data and software engineers across internal and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and address challenging problems in human representation and motion that impact millions of users.

Requirements

  • Software engineering skills and proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with PyTorch.
  • Independent problem solving skills.
  • BS degree and 10+ years of experience.

Description

Apple's Video Computer Vision (VCV) Face and Body technologies team seeks a skilled Machine Learning Engineer with a background in computer vision and graphics. The role covers the full ML lifecycle from data collection design and processing to model design, experiments, and validation in real-world settings. The team conducts applied research to adapt state-of-the-art methods or develop new approaches to ship features on visionOS and iOS.

Pay and Benefits

Base pay range for this role is USD 175,000 to 308,500 per year. The final base pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple offers discretionary employee stock programs, including discretionary RSU awards and eligibility to participate in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a stock discount.
