Job Description

Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack with React and GoLang at JPMorganChase in Jersey City, NJ (onsite) will serve as a core technical contributor on an agile team delivering secure, scalable technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develops secure, high quality production code and troubleshoots complex technical problems, applying creative approaches beyond routine solutions.
  • Reviews and debugs code written by teammates to ensure reliability and maintainability in production.
  • Drives adoption of enterprise authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, including AI-assisted code review and refactoring, test strategy acceleration, and incident root-cause analysis support; establishes consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promotes reusable patterns across the team.
  • Leverages the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain and enterprise AI-assisted development and automation capabilities to maximize automation value.
  • Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and assess applicability within existing systems and information architecture.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience (NAMR/APAC – India/ LATAM/ Hong Kong).
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience (EMEA/LATAM-Brazil).
  • Singapore follow local country guidance.
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages including Golang, React, AWS, Java, Terraform, and Typescript.
  • Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practices.
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
  • Practical cloud native experience.
