Job Description

Park Lane Recruitment is seeking a Lead Software Developer to architect and scale high-performance infrastructure for Generative AI. This role focuses on building on-prem and hybrid AI platforms while leading a small team to power Generative AI initiatives across the organization. The position is based onsite in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Design and scale high-performance distributed systems
  • Build AI infrastructure platforms for on-prem and hybrid environments
  • Tackle complex orchestration challenges
  • Address compute management challenges at scale
  • Solve issues related to large-scale services
  • Work hands-on with Kubernetes and modern infrastructure tooling
  • Lead from the front by owning greenfield projects
  • Mentor and elevate a small, high-caliber engineering team
  • Collaborate with elite engineers to ship systems that matter

Requirements

  • 8+ years in software engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a top 20 US university
  • Currently at top tech firms or quant finance companies, with 2+ years in such roles
  • Strong background in distributed systems, infrastructure, or platform engineering
  • Proven track record of owning and delivering complex systems at scale
  • Experience mentoring or leading engineers
  • Thrives in fast-moving, intellectually demanding environments

  • Base salary: USD 300,000 - 350,000 per year
