Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Application Development Lead, design, build, and deploy JavaScript-based web applications aligned with institutional priorities.
  • Produce clean, reusable code to address technical challenges across multiple domains with precision and attention to detail.
  • Create cross-platform, data-driven web applications, including custom integrations with third-party services, following predefined requirements.
  • Improve UI and overall UX for both new and existing applications.
  • Engage in code reviews to uphold quality, consistency, and security practices.
  • Deliver responsive, effective end-user support to ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is required; or an associate degree with certifications plus one year of relevant experience; or two to three years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience designing, documenting, enhancing, and supporting data-driven web applications that support business workflows.
  • Web application programming experience using JavaScript or TypeScript (or other similar languages).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify viable solutions.
  • A demonstrated passion for learning, innovation, and solving challenging problems in a collaborative setting.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced development environment with solid documentation and version control practices.
  • Working knowledge of the software development life cycle and basic version control practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Remote work and location

This is a fully remote position; candidates must reside in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware. The successful candidate may need to attend meetings or otherwise be present in our Philadelphia office when necessary.

Salary

USD 68,330 - 75,736 per year
