Job Developer
Job Description
This Job Developer role supports internship placements and counseling services for program participants, reporting to the Program Director in onsite New York City settings.
Responsibilities
- Arrange internship placements for program participants.
- Deliver academic and career counseling.
- Provide counseling aligned with the needs of program participants.
- Support the delivery of educational services through advisory and seminar sessions.
- Establish rapport with participants and help them define educational and career goals, including written postsecondary plans.
- Collaborate with businesses, corporations, and community-based organizations to develop internships and a broad range of employment opportunities.
- Connect participants to internship and employment opportunities and monitor their progress.
- Assist participants with resume development, job interviewing, and job readiness.
- Maintain a caseload and develop individual service plans with participants.
- Provide individual and group mentoring, as well as crisis intervention services.
- Conduct family outreach to engage students' support systems.
- Establish rapport with family members and assist in parent-teacher conferences.
- Monitor academic progress and attendance of participants within the caseload.
- Advocate for in-school remediation when appropriate and prepare necessary documentation, including LTW internship contracts, evaluations, and reports.
- Lead weekly advisory sessions.
- Lead weekly seminar sessions.
- Document contact with students electronically.
- Advocate for participants needing social services and care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary participant progress teams, interdepartmental meetings, case conferences, and mediations within the school.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff to provide student support when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Bilingual proficiency preferred (Bengali, Cantonese, French, Haitian Creole, Mandarin, Russian).
- Minimum three years of experience working with children and adolescents and providing counseling services.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of adolescent development and youth development principles.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for work, professionalism, and responsibility.
- Values providing outstanding service and working collaboratively in a team environment with school personnel.

Salary
Salary range: USD 51,600 - 59,100 per year.
