Java Developer/Engineer

TechniPower, Inc. is hiring a Java Developer/Engineer to support a Sustainment team building and maintaining web applications running on cloud infrastructure. This hybrid role in Fort Worth, TX covers both front-end and back-end development, with an emphasis on cloud deployment and ongoing application reliability.

In this position, you will help translate user needs into working software, maintain application functionality through testing and maintenance cycles, and contribute to the design and delivery of integration capabilities such as RESTful APIs. The role is initially temporary to possible permanent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs and design software solutions aligned to those requirements.
• Develop, test, and modify application source code as new requirements are introduced.
• Maintain continued program functionality during maintenance and testing phases.
• Document system and application details to support future upgrades and maintenance.
• Develop and deploy software, including deployments in cloud environments.
• Integrate external code into core libraries and handle installation and configuration of application software.
• Evaluate third-party vendors and software partners for fit and integration needs.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs to support application integration.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (required).
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or significant professional experience.
• Experience developing Python REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience with Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety engineering analysis.
• Background in the Aerospace industry or a related field.
• Experience with Fleet Management software.
• Knowledge of predictive logistics.
• Proficiency in UML (Unified Modeling Language).
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience in cloud environments and software deployment.

Position Overview

• Join the Sustainment team responsible for web application development and maintenance on cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to containerize and deploy applications in the cloud.
• Work across both front-end and back-end development while supporting deployment activities.
