Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and improve analytical and operational data solutions to meet complex business requirements.
  • Lead metric design and technical documentation in partnership with operational and IT teams, aligning data work with strategic goals.
  • Steer multiple medium to large scale projects using standard project management tools and methodologies.
  • Translate business requirements into robust, validated data solutions, including end-to-end data analysis from source to solution.
  • Document all work comprehensively and in line with current industry standards.
  • Provide production support for ETL/ELT data solutions, including problem analysis, design, implementation, and rigorous testing of data models, data integrations (ETL, ELT, API), and reports.
  • Perform data solutions administration activities such as training, on-call support, and involvement in upgrades across project phases with minimal oversight.
  • Identify and manage change in a dynamic environment using standard processes and tools, collaborating to plan adoption of required changes.
  • Stay current with healthcare data environments, EHR, ERP, Cloud, SQL, and BI technology to drive professional growth and innovation.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute expertise in the analysis and development of enterprise data solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge.
  • Epic Cogito certification(s) in relevant Cogito/reporting application (Certified or Accredited) depending on system access.
  • Workday certification(s) in relevant WD reporting application depending on system access.
  • A learning plan will be provided with the offer to obtain any missing Epic Cogito and/or Workday certifications, and certifications must be obtained within five months of starting first class.
  • Typically 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare or comparable setting working with report, data, or analytics development.
  • Experience with enterprise EHR, Rev Cycle, and/or ERP applications (depending on role).
  • Experience with data/BI tools such as Business Objects, Epic Slicer Dicer, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience with database content creation (tables, views, stored procedures).
  • Experience with traditional database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.
  • Experience with cloud data development platforms such as Snowflake, Fabric/Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.
  • Strong SQL and one or more languages such as Python or Java for data manipulation.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT and data orchestration tools such as SSIS, ADF, Informatica, DataStage, etc.
  • Healthcare knowledge with EHR, Quality or ERP data experience.
