Job Description
Adobe is hiring an iOS Engineer for Adobe Fresco to build, improve, and maintain the Fresco iOS app while delivering major, user-facing capabilities for artists on mobile. The role focuses on Swift and modern iOS development, collaboration with Product and Design, and continuous technical improvement across the mobile experience.
Role Overview
You will develop and maintain the Fresco iOS application, contribute to core app architecture, and help shape the roadmap through technical partnership. The position includes building features that support drawing and canvas performance, integrating with RESTful services, and evaluating emerging platform technologies relevant to creative workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Fresco iOS app using Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C/C++, and modern iOS frameworks, including integration with RESTful APIs.
- Work on advanced, efficiency-focused development approaches as part of “agentic coding,” applying innovative techniques to improve both efficiency and quality.
- Design and implement major user-facing features, including drawing tools and canvas performance, while contributing to overall app architecture decisions.
- Lead code reviews and mentor teammates with constructive, thoughtful feedback.
- Partner with Product and Design to define roadmap priorities and evaluate emerging platform technologies such as Apple Pencil, Metal, and machine learning-based creative tools.
- Recommend improvements to app architecture, testing practices, and service integrations to support Fresco’s growth.
- Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code that supports a high-performance creative app that is stable and scalable.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on mobile applications.
- BS or MS in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience.

Compensation and Pay Range
- U.S. pay range: $135,100 - $214,950 per year
- California pay range: $148,500 - $214,950 per year
- Washington pay range: $135,100 - $195,550 per year

- For sales roles, starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), with short-term incentives in the form of sales commission plans. For non-sales roles, starting salaries are expressed as base salary with short-term incentives in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
- Certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives via a new hire equity award.
