Machine Solution Providers, LLC is seeking an Industrial HMI Developer II to join their Downers Grove team. This role focuses on designing, building, testing, and deploying human-machine interface systems for automated production lines, leveraging Ignition, Wonderware, and AB FactoryTalk SE/ME. Expect hands-on field deployment, occasional on-site screen modifications during commissioning, and a hybrid work arrangement with 15-20% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with customer project engineers and MSP automation engineers to plan and build HMI systems for automated production lines.
Design and update HMI programs using Ignition, Wonderware, and AB FactoryTalk for new installations and system upgrades.
Test and simulate HMI solutions to ensure reliable performance.
Deploy HMI terminals on site and perform screen adjustments during commissioning and startup.
Set up communications from HMI servers to PLCs over network connections.
Overnight travel is required, approximately 15-20% of the time.

Requirements

Associate technical degree or equivalent certification.
3+ years of HMI development and deployment in industrial settings, with primary experience on Wonderware, Ignition, and AB FactoryTalk SE/ME platforms.
Basic IT networking experience.
Familiarity with high-performance graphical design methodology (ISA-101).
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to getting it right the first time.
Valid driver’s license for travel.
