IBM i Developer

IDR Inc. is seeking an IBM i Developer to join its on-site team in Dallas, Texas. This role focuses on enabling IBM i applications to run on Linux through Infinite i, troubleshooting production issues, and performing IBM i administration to maintain the stability and performance of enterprise systems during a legacy ERP modernization. The position offers USD 65 per hour and requires a solid foundation in IBM i with practical Linux experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Infinite i to enable IBM i applications to run on Linux
• Troubleshoot complex production issues in a live environment
• Perform IBM i administration to ensure system reliability
• Maintain stability and performance of enterprise applications

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with IBM i (AS/400) development and administration
• 3+ years of RPG programming experience
• Hands-on experience with Linux servers
• Understanding of Data Description Specifications (DDS) related to legacy database files, display files (screens), and printer files
• Experience with Financial/ERP software
• Infinium experience is a strong plus
