- Develop and evaluate AI-enabled features using Microsoft Foundry (formerly Azure AI Foundry), Azure AI Search, and Azure AI services, including testing, human review, and appropriate access controls.
- Protect confidential application and review information and follow NIH restrictions on generative AI use in peer review.
- Maintain and modernize existing Windows services, console applications, SOAP/WCF integrations, and SQL scripts.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, designers, architects, DBAs, testers, and operations staff in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Use automated testing, code review, and GitHub Actions (or comparable CI/CD tools) with secure DevSecOps practices.
What you’ll bring
- Be local to the DC Metro area for hybrid/onsite work in Bethesda, MD, with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite.
- Be a US Citizen or Green Card holder with the ability to obtain a Public Trust.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 3+ years of relevant software development experience.

- Hands-on front-end experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, and AJAX, including responsive design and accessibility.
- Experience deploying .NET applications in Azure, including Azure Functions and Web APIs.
