Full Stack Engineer / Developer

Digital Harbor is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer / Developer to contribute to scalable web applications with a primary focus on front-end development. The role spans the stack, including REST API integration, production troubleshooting, and cross-functional delivery in an Agile environment.

Role Focus

• Develop, test, and maintain features and enhancements for scalable web applications.
• Build responsive, reusable, component-based user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks, with Angular strongly preferred.
• Write clean, maintainable JavaScript and TypeScript using modern development practices.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, backend services, shared libraries, and internal or third-party services.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and production issues across applications.
• Investigate application performance issues and help improve load times, responsiveness, and overall stability.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, QA, product, and other cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in peer code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality.
• Contribute to technical discussions, engineering decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Use Git-based version control and work within established CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Identify and reduce technical debt while maintaining compatibility across applications and shared components.
• Support the integration and maintenance of shared libraries across products.
• Write and maintain appropriate technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile practices including planning, refinement, standups, and iterative feature delivery.
• Increase ownership of features and technical challenges as experience and product familiarity grow.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and coding assistants to support development, debugging, testing, documentation, and problem-solving while maintaining strong engineering judgment, code quality, security, and established development standards.

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience, ideally for web-based applications or software products.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as Angular, React, or Vue (Angular strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience using Git (or similar version-control tools) in a collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with modern frontend build tools such as Webpack or Vite.
• Strong web debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of component-based application architecture.
• Familiarity with web performance best practices and techniques to improve performance.
• Experience working within an Agile software development environment.
• Understanding of core software engineering concepts including maintainable code, testing, code reviews, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and interest in using emerging AI technologies to improve development efficiency, code quality, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Go (Golang).

• Experience working with WebSockets or other real-time application technologies.
• Experience with application performance profiling and optimization.
• Exposure to backend development and API development.
• Experience working with distributed systems or applications that share common libraries and services.
• Experience working within a SaaS, software product, or technology company.
• Experience incorporating AI coding assistants and AI-powered development tools (examples include Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) into day-to-day development workflows.

This role is approximately 70% technical and 30% communication/collaboration focused.

Compensation and Location

• Location: Lehi, UT (onsite)
• Salary: USD 80,000 - 100,000 per year
• Minimum Experience: 2 years
