Developer Team Lead
Job Description
This contract role places you as a Developer Team Lead in Melbourne, FL, combining hybrid remote work with hands-on involvement in React and .NET while guiding both front-end and back-end teams toward delivery excellence.
Responsibilities
- Offer occasional after-hours support to answer questions and resolve problems as they arise.
- Lead and mentor software developers in implementing architectural changes while upholding coding standards.
- Provide technical direction to both frontend and backend developers toward common objectives, maintaining coding discipline.
- Collaborate with vendors, IT team members, users, and department managers to determine requirements for new or modified software and hardware.
- Review, analyze, and modify application systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation; analyze and resolve related problems.
- Ensure assignment deadlines and project goals are consistently met.
Requirements
- Education: A four-year college degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: At least 5 years of software analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, integration, deployment, support, and documentation of core and web-based systems following the software development lifecycle, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
- Required Skills: Experience with agile development methodologies, object-oriented programming, web services, client-server concepts, and conducting code reviews to ensure coding standards.
- Frontend development: React, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, SASS, Bootstrap, and WCMS platforms.
- Backend development: .NET, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps Server, C#, Node.js, SQL Server and/or other relational databases; API integrations.
- Back-end developer capabilities include familiarity with front-end technologies and development methodologies, plus experience with client-server concepts, web services, and both Waterfall and Agile approaches; knowledge of WCMS platforms is a plus.
