Developer Team Lead

Overview

In the Melbourne Headquarters, the Developer Team Lead will guide front-end and back-end teams to implement new processes, drive improvements, and promote best practices while remaining hands-on with development. The role requires strong expertise in React and .NET. You will lead cross‑functional delivery, mentor developers, and ensure reliability across the stack. This is a temp-to-perm position with a six‑month contract.

Location and Schedule

Hybrid remote work in Melbourne, Florida 32940, with in-person collaboration at the Melbourne Headquarters. The position is hybrid with two days per week required in the office. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide occasional after-hours support to answer questions and resolve problems.
• Lead and mentor software developers in implementing architectural changes while upholding coding standards.
• Offer technical guidance to both frontend and backend developers to achieve shared objectives and maintain coding quality.
• Collaborate with vendors, IT team members, users, and department managers to define requirements for new or modified software and hardware.
• Review, analyze, and modify application systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation; analyze and resolve related issues.
• Detect, diagnose, and report problems related to application systems.
• Consistently meet assigned project deadlines and goals.

Requirements

• Education: A 4-year college degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, integration, deployment, support, and documentation of core and web-based systems following the software development lifecycle, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Required Skills: Experience with agile development methodologies, object-oriented programming, web services, client-server concepts, and conducting code reviews to ensure proper coding standards.
• Frontend development: React, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, SASS, Bootstrap, and WCMS platforms.
• Backend development: .NET, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps Server, C#, Node.js, SQL Server and/or other relational databases; API integrations.
• Additional: Familiarity with front-end web development concepts and the ability to work across both frontend and backend domains; experience with Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
