Dallas Independent School District seeks a Developer for a bond funded, 226 days role. This onsite position in Dallas, Texas provides a competitive salary range and the opportunity to influence how enterprise systems connect and how data is presented across district operations.
- Salary: USD 84,596 to 103,174 per year
- Location: Onsite in Dallas, TX
- Contract type: Bond funded, 226 days
In this role you will configure low-code platforms, build interfaces to core enterprise systems, and deliver dashboards and reports that meet user needs.
Responsibilities
- Configure low-code platforms to align with business needs and improve performance
- Develop and maintain interfaces to core enterprise systems and applications
- Design and execute system testing and validation procedures
- Develop and document low-code applications
- Create and optimize database objects including tables and views
- Consult with departments on new rapid development requests
- Collaborate with stakeholders on technical issues related to low-code software design and maintenance
- Analyze information to recommend and plan installations or modifications of systems
- Consult with IT staff to evaluate software and hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements
- Prepare status reports on development project specifications, activities, and status
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application and data integrity issues
- Confer with project managers to gather information on limitations or capabilities
- Translate stakeholder requests into functional low-code solutions
- Develop dashboards and reports to meet user specifications
- Ensure adherence to established development methodologies and standards
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five years of technical experience related to application development and support
- Working knowledge of current low-code systems, platforms, protocols, and standards
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and rapid application development methodologies
- Desire to work in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of core concepts in software engineering and application integration
- Experience across a variety of low-code software development projects
- Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional project team member
- Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following:
- Low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Apex, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar)
- HTML5/JavaScript
- SOA/Webservices
- BI and data visualization tools
- Advanced SQL knowledge; procedural SQL preferred
- Agile/Scrum experience strongly desired
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff
