The MDM Data Engineer will own end-to-end data engineering within the master data management domain, designing and delivering data pipelines to support business requirements from our Tampa location.
Responsibilities
- Uphold master data quality and compliance by applying MDM and data governance principles to ensure data relevancy, security, and governance across the enterprise.
- Define platform requirements for MDM frameworks and tooling, including Profisee, Informatica, and Reltio, and champion their use across teams.
- Collaborate with data modelers, governance leads, and business stakeholders to design and model core master data entities.
- Develop, validate, deploy, and enhance data curation and publishing capabilities to deliver standardized, harmonized data domains for analytics and operational use cases.
- Partner with architecture, data engineering, governance, product, delivery, and data management teams to curate ingested data from multiple sources, performing cleansing, validation, standardization, harmonization, and transformation toward a single enterprise view.
- Collaborate with Data Governance and BI to drive the engineering and implementation of the master data solution and services, ensuring accountability across the organization.
- Lead MDM initiatives to establish a single source of truth, ensuring consistency and accessibility across business domains.
- Apply MDM concepts to business challenges, lead workshops, gather requirements, and evaluate readiness for data governance strategies.
- Improve automation and CI/CD for the MDM platform and perform code reviews for peers.
- Provide guidance to vendor engineering staff on MDM initiatives, monitoring quality and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Management, or Information Technology.
- 5+ years of experience as an MDM Engineer with end-to-end design and development, hands-on with MDM tools (Profisee, SAP MDG, Informatica, Reltio, etc.) and Snowflake, Azure SQL Database.
- Knowledge of standard data models within master data domains such as Product, Customer, Finance, Reference Data, etc.
- Advanced SQL programming and building ETL/ELT processes using cloud platforms like Azure Data Factory or Matillion.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Commutable distance to Tampa, Florida.
