Data Engineer I (TM1, Python, AWS)
Job Description
The Data Engineer I will design, build, and operationalize data pipelines and data solutions to enable AI, ML, and business intelligence initiatives. This role applies TM1, Python, and AWS to create scalable data assets and reliable analytics infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Build and operationalize complex data solutions, address issues, apply transformations, and propose data cleansing and quality approaches.
- Design data solutions tailored to business needs.
- Assess data sources to determine value and identify data to incorporate into analytical processes.
- Embed core data management practices including governance, security, and quality.
- Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate end users on data products and the analytic environment.
- Conduct data and system analysis, evaluate defects and incidents of moderate complexity, and implement corrective actions as appropriate.
- Test data movement, transformation logic, and data components to ensure reliability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum six years of related experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Financial Reporting Software such as TM1/IPA, Essbase, or Hyperion.
- At least 2 years of hands-on Python experience, preferably with TM1py and Pandas.
- Experience with cloud platforms and services, with a preference for AWS; familiarity with core services such as S3, IAM, Lambda, Secrets Manager, and EC2.
- Proficiency with data engineering tools, cloud platforms, programming languages, and established best practices in data engineering.
- Finance or accounting experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field, or equivalent education/work experience.
- Additional 2 years of software or data engineering experience.

Salary Range
$109,300.00 - $180,200.00
