Job Description
You will build and run distributed data systems that collect and process log events, powering data pipelines, warehouses, metrics, and dashboards for recruiting and business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and automate deployment of a distributed system to collect and process log events from multiple sources
- Create and maintain data schemas and operate internal data warehouse environments using SQL and NoSQL database systems
- Own development and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards used by engineers, analysts, and data scientists
- Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues across data pipelines
- Drive architecture planning and implementation for future data storage, reporting, and analytics solutions
- Develop automated data pipeline code capable of processing millions of data points
- Improve database and data warehouse performance by tuning inefficient queries
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and other internal partners to identify opportunities and problems
- Assist with troubleshooting, researching root cause, and resolving defects when issues arise
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- 2+ years developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using ETL/ELT processes
- 2+ years developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using OLAP technologies
- 2+ years developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using data modeling
- 2+ years developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using SQL
- 2+ years developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform)
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
