Job Description

Farm Credit Services of America is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, integrate, and support enterprise data solutions that power operational processes, analytics, reporting, and AI capabilities. In this role, you will turn business needs into trusted, scalable, and efficient data products used across the organization, with a focus on reliable delivery and continuous improvement.

This onsite position is based in Omaha, NE 68137-2210.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and data products using modern cloud data platform technologies.
  • Develop and optimize database structures, data models, semantic models, transformations, and reusable data assets for operational, analytical, and AI workloads.
  • Integrate data across applications, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party solutions using modern integration patterns.
  • Support data quality, performance, reliability, security, and scalability through testing, monitoring, automation, and operational best practices.
  • Work with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and software engineering teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Create and maintain curated datasets, business metrics, and consumption-ready data products for reporting, dashboards, self-service analytics, and AI initiatives.
  • Develop and support reports, dashboards, visualizations, and analytical solutions when appropriate, partnering with Business Insights & Analytics for enterprise reporting and decision support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data, integration, reporting, and performance issues while improving data delivery processes and engineering practices.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, automation, and continuous improvement across the enterprise data ecosystem.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS (preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, analytics, reporting, or data integration disciplines.
  • Master’s degree or other advanced degree (preferred).

Compensation and incentives

  • Salary range: $114,380 - $177,300 per year
  • Incentive opportunity: 10% - 20%
