Job Description
The role of a Senior Business Intelligence professional at Sutter Health focuses on the complete lifecycle engineering of the department's semantic infrastructure, selecting appropriate modeling approaches, and establishing governance and security within the System Data & Analytics team.

USD 50 - 75 per hour
Position Overview
Requires 2 days in office in Sacramento.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key independent contributor within the Digital division's System Data & Analytics team.
- Own the full lifecycle engineering of the department's semantic infrastructure.
- Exercise discretion to determine the modeling strategy among Import, DirectQuery, and Direct Lake to balance performance with data freshness.
- Move fluidly between managing legacy SSAS partitions and architecting modern Microsoft Fabric semantic models using tools such as Tabular Editor and ALM Toolkit.
- Operate with minimal oversight while defining governance and security logic for the domain.
Requirements
- Technical professional with advanced DAX and SQL and expert in semantic models (SSAS tabular model) and Reporting (Power BI).
- 5 years of recent relevant experience.
