Job Description
System One is hiring an experienced AWS Python Developer to drive hands-on modernization of cloud applications and data solutions in a large financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and modernization efforts for cloud-based applications and data solutions in an enterprise financial services setting
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable solutions using AWS technologies
- Build and improve cloud-based applications and data processes across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Develop solutions using Python, SQL, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, and related AWS services
- Apply AI-assisted development techniques and test automation to improve development speed and quality
- Support enterprise data needs using relational databases including PostgreSQL and Oracle
- Participate in Agile practices, including troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of enterprise application or data solutions
- Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, and technology teams
- Follow enterprise development standards with a focus on reusable components and software engineering best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of Python software development experience
- Hands-on experience in AWS cloud environments building solutions using AWS services including Glue, Lambda, ECS, EMR, Redshift, DMS, S3, SQS/SNS, and RDS
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java and solid SQL proficiency
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile practices
- Experience developing, testing, troubleshooting, and deploying enterprise applications or data solutions
- Familiarity with test automation tools, frameworks, and best practices
- Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate SDLC activities
- Excellent collaboration skills with stakeholders, developers, and technical teams
- Knowledge of enterprise development standards and software engineering best practices
- Financial services experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
