Associate Data Engineer
Job Description
As an Associate Data Engineer with Capgemini in Houston, TX (onsite), you’ll help build reliable, scalable, and secure data integration solutions across enterprise platforms. This role is designed to support your growth through guidance from senior team members while you contribute to ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality, and cloud modernization efforts.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT jobs, workflows, and data pipelines
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple source systems
- Create and execute unit tests, integration tests, and data validation scripts
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and help resolve issues
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data processing issues
- Handle data cleansing, profiling, and validation activities
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting and analytics support
- Assist with data quality controls and governance standards
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and senior data engineers in Agile delivery teams
Requirements
- 2+ years of data engineering experience
- ETL/ELT development and data integration
- SQL development, query optimization, and experience with stored procedures
- Data pipeline design, development, and monitoring experience
- Data validation, data profiling, and data cleansing experience
- Unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support
- Troubleshooting and resolving data processing issues
- Experience with data quality management and governance practices
- Cloud platform familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Familiarity with data warehousing and modern data architectures
- Understanding of analytics and reporting environments
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies
Compensation
$81,000 - $85,000 base salary per year for the posted location. The final offer may fall outside the posted range based on legally permitted factors. The role may also be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
