ASP.NET Developer

Overview

Join our software engineering team to design, develop, and maintain robust web applications and backend services that support our pricing platform. This onsite role is based in Brooklyn, NY, and requires a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain robust web applications using ASP.NET, C#, MVC and related frameworks to ensure strong performance and user experience
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services to enable seamless data exchange across distributed systems
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate UI components built with React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, system design with UML, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Write clean, efficient code focused on scalability, security, and maintainability while following software engineering best practices
• Conduct unit testing and debugging with Visual Studio or other IDEs to ensure stability across environments including cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Use version control systems like GitHub, TFS, SVN to manage code repositories within Agile teams

Requirements

• Proven software development experience with a strong focus on ASP.NET (.NET Framework) and C#
• Hands-on experience building web applications using MVC and web services such as WCF or SOAP
• Familiarity with frontend technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and frameworks like React.js or Angular
• Solid understanding of database design with practical work using relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB; ability to write T-SQL or PL/SQL queries
• Experience in Agile environments using tools like TFS or Jira for project management and version control with Git or SVN
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), microservices, distributed computing concepts, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to develop scalable backend systems using .NET Core or .NET Framework with best practices for high availability and performance
• Strong debugging skills and experience with unit testing frameworks
• Familiarity with application security standards including OAuth2, data encryption, and secure coding practices
