AS400 Developer

Part-time AS400/IBM i RPG development role to support a legacy quoting system, available as a long-term consulting engagement at 15-20 hours per month, remote-first with Pittsburgh area preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance a proprietary quoting and pricing application operating on AS400 / IBM i
• Perform RPG coding updates, bug fixes, and small feature improvements
• Maintain a high-volume quoting workflow tied to daily business operations
• Troubleshoot issues and sustain overall system stability
• Collaborate on integrations or data flows with ERP systems as needed

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with RPG variants including RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE or ILE RPG
• Direct experience with AS400 / IBM i (iSeries) environments
• Background supporting legacy, mission-critical business applications
• Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
