Fade is building a social sports-betting app and is hiring an engineer to help develop and harden the product in a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA. If you enjoy shipping consumer features, collaborating in a small team, and working on integrations and machine-assisted insights, this role is designed for you. The compensation for this position is USD 70,000 per year, with a target of 3+ years of production experience.

What you’ll build

• Social layer: implement and strengthen core social functionality including a friend graph, a bet feed, and real-time notifications.
• Integrations: take ownership of sportsbook and odds data provider integrations, plus affiliate tracking across the lifecycle from install → registration → deposit attribution.
• AI assistant pipeline: build an end-to-end pipeline that ingests betting history, performs analysis, and produces in-app insights for users.

How the team works

You will collaborate as part of a two-person team without a dedicated PM. The work spans across the stack, with an emphasis on shipping, improving reliability, and iterating on product functionality.

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience shipping production software.
• Evidence of at least one consumer app you helped take to real users.
• Comfort working across the stack in a small team with no PM.
• Experience in any of the following is a plus: sports betting/fantasy, fintech, affiliate/attribution systems, or LLM features in production.

Nice-to-have

• Shipped a social or notification-heavy app.
• Worked with odds APIs or sportsbook affiliate programs.
• Experience in an early-stage startup.
